Dear Composers,

We are happy to announce that the final listing of accepted works for the 2008 SCI Region VI Conference/Sam Houston State University Contemporary Music Festival is finished! We sent all of your scores and recordings out to our music faculty as well as a few of our star students and could not be more pleased with their level of excitement about performing your music. We asked them to give preference to our Region VI composers but were able to include quite a few guests to our region as well. We were even able to get some Region VI composers performances of two pieces, provided the total duration did not exceed 15 minutes.
