Dear Friends and Colleagues,
The SCI Edition: A Journal of New Music Thought is now accepting submissions for the following categories:
- General Call for Composition Articles: Original articles (2,000–4,500 words) are invited on topics related to music composition since 1975, including theory, analysis, pedagogy, performance, and new media. Submissions undergo anonymous peer review, and accepted authors will be required to join the Society of Composers, Inc. before publication.
- Call for Member News: Members may submit brief (under 50 words) announcements highlighting major professional achievements such as new recordings, awards, appointments, or premieres. The Member News section appears twice yearly and celebrates noteworthy accomplishments across the SCI community.
- Call for Contributions: “Advice from the Membership” Section: Members are invited to share concise (up to 100 words) insights on practical topics, such as applying to graduate programs or developing consortium projects. This section gathers a variety of helpful and constructive perspectives from the SCI membership.
