For many SCI Members, it’s time to renew your membership. Simply click the How to Join and follow the instructions.

SCI Members, if you have not already renewed for 2013-14, it is time to do so. Follow the same instructions as for joining SCI in order to pay your dues for the next year.

With your renewal you are eligible to receive one free SCI CD. Choose from volumes 1-24 of the SCI Composers Series or any of the four CDs in the SCI Performers Series. Lifetime members may also request one free CD. To request your CD, send an email message to secretary@societyofcomposers.org with your mailing address (US only) and the title and number of your chosen CD.

The Call for Participation for SCI’s 2014 National Conference has been posted. The conference will be held March 20-22, 2014, at Ball State University in Muncie, IN. See the Call for Participation for full details on how to submit your composition, paper, or panel discussion.

Among the many performances scheduled for the 48th SCI National Conference at The Ohio State University are three winners of the SCI/ASCAP Student Competition Commission.
First place in 2010 was awarded to Andres Carrizo whose work Alucinaciones for saxophone quartet which will be performed by the Anubis Quartet on Thursday, Feb. 14th on a concert at 1:30 p.m.

First place 2011 was awarded to Eric Guinivan whose work Fractured Light for wind ensemble will be performed by The Ohio State University Wind Ensemble on Saturday, Feb., 15th on a concert at 8:00 p.m.

Second place in 2011 was awarded to Elliot Cless whose work *ROT* for saxophone quartet will be performed by the Black Swamp Saxophone Quartet on Friday, Feb. 15th on a concert at 8:00 p.m.
